The Spark — 1987
It began with one mom’s struggle to find the perfect camp, with no easy answers. Frustrated yet inspired, Joanne Paltrowitz founded Camp Experts, giving parents real insights and honest advice on summer camps. Soon, families started asking about teen travel programs too.
Expanding the Vision (2007)
Camps were just the beginning. Families increasingly wanted experiences beyond cabins and canoes such as adventures rooted in service, language immersion, global exploration, and personal growth. "Camp Experts" evolved into Camp Experts & Teen Summers, reflecting our broader vision.
Teen Summers (2025)
By 2025, we had helped 10k+ teens have the summer of a lifetime, and Teen Summers deserved to be its own brand, fully focused on matching teens with unforgettable experiences.
